IPSC Expands Global Network with New Distinguished Fellows, Global Associates, and Forthcoming Advisory Board
IPSC has entered a transformative phase, appointing six Distinguished Fellows, expanding its global network to over 54 Non-Resident Fellows, and preparing to launch a 30-member Regional Research Associate team. A new Advisory Board of eminent figures will also be announced shortly, marking a major milestone in IPSC’s institutional growth and strategic vision for the Indo-Pacific.

The Indo-Pacific Studies Center (IPSC) is proud to announce a major expansion of its expert network and institutional structure, marking a transformative phase in its development as a globally engaged, regionally grounded policy think tank.
In 2025, IPSC has significantly strengthened its capacity to shape critical debates on Indo-Pacific futures by expanding its global fellowships, launching a new Research Associate program, and preparing to introduce its inaugural Advisory Board of eminent persons.
🔹 Six Distinguished Fellows Appointed
IPSC has appointed six Distinguished Fellows who bring senior-level expertise in international relations, maritime security, diplomacy, and Indo-Pacific strategic affairs. These thought leaders will contribute to IPSC’s strategic dialogues, research programs, and flagship publications:
Dr. Jagannath Panda (Sweden) – Head, SCSA-IPA at ISDP; expert on India-China-Europe relations and Indo-Pacific multilateralism
Dr. Kumari Mansi (Taiwan/India) – Taiwan MoFA Fellow and scholar of political science and international education
Captain Sarabjeet Singh Parmar (Retd) (India) – Maritime strategist and former Indian Navy officer; expert in lawfare and regional doctrine
Dr. Brendon J. Cannon (UAE) – Security studies scholar focused on shifting regional power and arms dynamics in the Indo-Pacific
Dr. Stephen Nagy (Japan) – Renowned expert on middle power diplomacy and US-China strategic competition
Dr. Dattesh D. Parulekar (India) – Foreign policy scholar and regional strategist based at Goa University
🔹 Fellowship Network Grows to 54+
The IPSC now hosts a global network of over 54 Non-Resident Fellows from across South and Southeast Asia, the Pacific, East Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America. Fellows contribute to the IPSC’s research hubs, commentary series, conferences, and cross-regional collaborations, representing a diverse range of disciplines and policy areas.
🔹 Regional Research Associates to Be Announced
To further enhance its analytical capabilities, IPSC will soon appoint over 30 Regional Research Associates. This emerging cohort of early-career scholars and policy analysts will work alongside IPSC Fellows to support thematic research on Indo-Pacific security, governance, climate, trade, and development. They will contribute directly to IPSC platforms, including the State of the Indo-Pacific series and the Indo-Pacific Contours commentary line.
🔹 Forthcoming Advisory Board of Eminent Persons
IPSC will soon unveil its Advisory Board of Eminent Persons—a strategic leadership body composed of accomplished voices from diplomacy, academia, and civil society. The Advisory Board will provide high-level guidance to IPSC’s mission and help anchor its institutional credibility as an independent, future-oriented Indo-Pacific research center.
