Announcing the IPSC Global Advisory Board

The Indo-Pacific Studies Center (IPSC) is proud to announce the establishment of its Global Advisory Board, a strategic body of distinguished leaders in diplomacy, defense, innovation, and public policy who will guide IPSC’s mission to shape a more secure, resilient, and inclusive Indo-Pacific.

The Board brings together globally respected figures whose expertise spans geopolitics, strategic deterrence, civil society, maritime security, defense technology, and regional governance. Their counsel will be instrumental in strengthening IPSC’s policy engagement, amplifying our regional partnerships, and enhancing our impact across the Indo-Pacific.

Meet Our Inaugural Advisory Board Members:

  • Professor John Fitzgerald
    Emeritus Professor, Swinburne University of Technology; Former Ford Foundation Representative, China
    Expertise: China policy, territorial governance, Australia–Asia relations

  • Bernice Glenn Kissinger
    Senior Vice President, Pacific Impact Zone; Co-founder, Defense Entrepreneurs Forum
    Expertise: Defense innovation ecosystems, Indo-Pacific contracting, multinational tech diplomacy

  • Captain Sarabjeet Singh Parmar (Retd)
    Distinguished Fellow, USI of India; Former Executive Director, National Maritime Foundation
    Expertise: Indo-Pacific maritime strategy, international lawfare, maritime doctrine

  • Rear Admiral Sanjay Roye AVSM, VSM (Retd)
    Former Commander, Indian Navy Strategic Operations; Senior Advisor, Alvarez & Marsal
    Expertise: Nuclear deterrence, ESG leadership, high-stakes operational planning

Hugh S Tuckfield

Hugh Tuckfield is the Director of the Indo-Pacific Studies Center. Hugh is a political theorist and human rights lawyer with degrees in Economics and Law from Monash University, a Master of Human Rights and Democratisation (Asia -Pacific Region) from the University of Sydney and the Kathmandu School of Law, and a Doctor of Philosophy from the University of Sydney in the Discipline of Government and International Relations.
