IPSC Visiting Research Fellows Program

As an IPSC Visiting Research Fellow, you can play a crucial role in supporting the IPSC's mission to explore the dynamics of the Indo-Pacific region and provide in-depth analysis, foster dialogue, and promote cooperation.

The Visiting Research Fellows Program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience, collaborate with experts, develop research skills, and build your network of scholars and practitioners in the Indo-Pacific region. The program is open to graduate students with an interest in international relations or human rights in the Indo-Pacific.

Eligibility

Open to undergraduate or graduate students with an interest in the IPSC’s focus areas.

The application process is extremely competitive. Applications will be judged on past academic performance, relevant academic study, and/or work experience. Personal interviews may be conducted. Applications that are incomplete or do not follow the guidelines below will not be considered.

To apply, you will need to send:

  • Proof of graduation or enrolment in a post graduate course in a field relevant to international relations or human rights

  • A copy of your resume

  • Cover letter

  • Academic transcript

  • Your project proposal(s), including the topic area of interest and anticipated output

    • Two writing samples:

      • One sample, no longer than 500 words in English, written within the past three months on a topic relating to the Indo-Pacific.

      • One paragraph, no longer than 150 words, that sets out why you want to be an IPSC Visiting Research Fellow.

Term

·         Twelve weeks with the possibility of renewal based on performance and mutual interest.

·         Collaboration: Work effectively with other members and contribute to a positive team environment.
