Each module builds on the last — moving from analytical foundations through to applied geopolitical risk assessment and strategic decision-making in the Indo‑Pacific context.

Module 01

Foundations of Geopolitical Risk

Defining geopolitical risk — how it differs from political risk, financial risk, and security risk. Frameworks for identifying, categorising, and communicating risk to decision-makers.

Module 02

Structured Analytic Techniques

Intelligence community tradecraft applied to geopolitical analysis — Analysis of Competing Hypotheses, Red Teaming, Key Assumptions Checks, and structured argumentation.

Module 03

The Indo‑Pacific Strategic Environment

A comprehensive survey of the region's strategic architecture — major powers, contested spaces, alliance frameworks, and the fault lines driving instability and competition.

Module 04

Strategic Warning & Indicators

Building warning frameworks — identifying leading indicators of escalation, political instability, and strategic surprise before they become crises.

Module 05

Geopolitical Risk Indices & Analytics

Applied use of geopolitical risk indices, quantitative tools, and data analytics — understanding what they measure, where they fail, and how to integrate them into structured assessments.

Module 06

China, the US & Great Power Competition

Deep-dive analysis of the US-China strategic rivalry — its dimensions, trajectories, and the risk it creates for every actor operating in the Indo‑Pacific.

Module 07

Economic Statecraft & Coercion

How states weaponise trade, investment, sanctions, and technology — assessing economic coercion risk and building analytical tools for exposure mapping.

Module 08

Cyber, Technology & Emerging Risk

Geopolitical risk through the technology lens — cyber operations, AI competition, supply chain vulnerabilities, and the strategic implications of the global technology contest.

Module 09

Producing the Intelligence Assessment

Translating analysis into actionable written product — writing under uncertainty, communicating confidence levels, structuring assessments for executive audiences.

Module 10

Capstone — Applied Risk Assessment

Participants produce an original geopolitical risk assessment on a current Indo‑Pacific scenario — evaluated by IPSC faculty against professional intelligence standards.

Optional Extension — Weeks 11 & 12

A two-week advanced extension offering deeper applied work — additional scenario analysis, practitioner-led case studies, and supplementary assessment for participants seeking the highest certification tier.

Certification

Three tiers of IPSC certification.

Certification level reflects the depth of engagement, assessment performance, and program completion — recognising different levels of analytical achievement.

Tier I

IPSC Certificate in Geopolitical Risk Analysis

Awarded on completion of the core ten-week program. Demonstrates foundational proficiency in structured geopolitical risk analysis and Indo‑Pacific strategic assessment.

Tier II

IPSC Advanced Certificate in Geopolitical Risk Analysis

Awarded on completion of the ten-week program plus the two-week extension, with a capstone assessment meeting the advanced performance threshold. Demonstrates applied analytical depth and professional-level output.

Tier III

IPSC Fellowship in Geopolitical Risk Analysis

IPSC's highest certification tier — awarded to participants who complete the full program with distinction, demonstrate exceptional analytical output, and are nominated by IPSC faculty. Fellows are invited into IPSC's practitioner network and research community.
